AfterQuery is seeking software developers for remote, project-based engineering work. The role involves designing and implementing software, debugging and optimizing code, participating in code reviews, collaborating asynchronously, and documenting technical work across varied projects and technology stacks. Responsibilities Design, implement, and ship clean, well-tested code across a variety of projects and technology stacksDebug, refactor, and optimize existing codebases for performance, maintainability, and scalabilityParticipate in code reviews, providing and incorporating constructive technical feedbackCollaborate asynchronously on technical specifications, architecture decisions, and implementation plansDocument code, APIs, and technical approaches clearly and reproducibly Qualifications 1–3 years of professional software engineering experience in a full-time or equivalent roleStrong proficiency in at least one modern programming language and its associated ecosystemDemonstrated
