Terms of use

Last updated 14 September 2026

The short version. hyr is in early access and free. Use it for your own job search, keep your account secure, and don’t misuse it. Job postings come from companies’ own career pages — we show them as published and can’t promise they are accurate or still open. Your data stays yours; see the privacy policy.

1. Agreeing to these terms

By joining the waitlist, creating an account or using gethyr.app (“hyr”, “the service”), you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

2. Early access

hyr is in early access. Features may change, be limited or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. Access is currently free. If paid plans are introduced, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate sign-up details and keep your sign-in method secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us at team@gethyr.app if you think it has been accessed without your permission.
  • One person, one account. Accounts are for personal job searching, not for recruiting on behalf of others.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, copy in bulk, or resell the job catalogue or any part of the service;
  • probe, overload or attempt to break the service’s security, or access another person’s data;
  • use the import feature to fetch pages you are not permitted to access, or to reach internal or private addresses;
  • upload unlawful, infringing or malicious content;
  • use the service to harass, spam or deceive anyone.

5. Job postings

Job postings are published by the companies that own them and are shown as retrieved from their career pages or from links you import. We do not employ, represent or vet these companies, do not guarantee that a posting is accurate, current or still open, and are not a party to any application or hiring decision. Always check the original posting before applying.

6. Your content

You own what you add to hyr — notes, resumes, tracked applications. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of it and do not use it for anything else.

7. Our service

The hyr name, design and software are ours. These terms do not give you any right to use them other than to use the service as intended.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using hyr and ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to team@gethyr.app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, telling you why unless the law or security prevents it.

9. No warranty and limits of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost opportunities, or decisions made using information in the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

10. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will update the date above and tell account holders and waitlist members by email beforehand. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Questions or complaints: team@gethyr.app.
