Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

AAA Life Insurance Company is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to strengthen QA automation and support CI/CD efforts. The role designs and maintains automated tests and shared test infrastructure using Playwright and TypeScript, partnering with product owners, engineers, and QA analysts to ensure product quality and release readiness. Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests using Playwright and TypeScript across application repositories and shared automation librariesBuild and maintain smoke, regression, and integration coverage using Playwright tagging and test selection patternsCreate and maintain automated tests that run reliably in GitLab CI/CD pipelines on merge requests and scheduled runsCollaborate with product owners, engineers, and QA analysts to define testing strategies, clarify acceptance criteria, and support shift-left testingInvestigate test failures, distinguish test issues from product defects, and report clear, reproducible defe
