Project Engineer Intern

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. hires a Project Engineer Intern to support project operations and construction cost control. The role assists with forecasting, pay estimates, change orders, submittals, material deliveries, contracts, scheduling, and coordination with field construction personnel. ResponsibilitiesHigh level of involvement in the operations of our cost control system and analysis of construction costsParticipate in monthly forecasting revenue and costs accrualsAccumulate all necessary data and prepare monthly pay estimatesProcess and estimate change orders and Requests for Information as directed by Project ManagerCoordinate and schedule shop drawings and submittalsMaintain a complete and current record of submittals, approvals, and resubmittals, including a file of letters of transmittal and dates of each transactionProcess/manage material deliveries – ensure that materials received are properly inspected for quantity and quality and in compliance with Contract docum
