Growth Manager - Performance (YouTube & Programmatic)
EmergentBengaluru
Manager · Posted 6h ago · via Greenhouse · Last checked 2h agoAbout the role
Emergent builds autonomous coding agents that replace traditional software development by generating, testing, and deploying production applications directly from plain-language intent. Our systems run in production at global scale and are used to build millions of real applications.
Since our public launch, we’ve crossed $130M in Annualised Revenue and grown to over 10M users across 190+ countries, who have built 12M+ applications on Emergent. We’re backed by Creaegis, Khosla Ventures, SoftBank, Lightspeed, Together, Y Combinator, Google, Claypond and Sentinel Global.
We’re solving the hard part of AI-driven software creation: correctness, reliability, security, and scale in real production systems. The team is built by repeat founders, Olympiad medalists, IIT & IIM alumni, and leaders from Google, Amazon, and Dropbox.
We’re hiring builders who want ownership, speed, and impact at global scale.
The Role:
You’ll build Emergent’s video and programmatic channel from zero. Today our growth runs on search, social, and affiliates; YouTube, CTV, and programmatic is a new channel. You’ll be the first owner: you’ll set the strategy, pick the partners, stand up the stack, prove incrementality, and then scale it into one of our largest acquisition channels. This role works directly with growth leadership and is based in our Bengaluru office, working in-person with the team.
What You’ll Do:
Own the video and programmatic channel end-to-end: strategy, budget, launch, optimization, and scale, accountable for new subscriptions, CAC, ROAS, and payback
Build and scale YouTube across every format: TrueView in-stream, in-feed, Shorts, bumpers, Demand Gen, and Masthead, for both prospecting and remarketing
Launch Connected TV (YouTube on TV screens and CTV inventory through DSPs) and decide where it earns a place in the mix
Run DSP vendor selection: shortlist and evaluate options (such as DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, and specialist CTV platforms), negotiate terms, then set up accounts, audiences, brand safety, and measurement
Hire and oversee managed-service partners and agencies while we build in-house capability: set goals, review their work weekly, hold them to performance and transparency standards, and plan the move in-house
Design and run incrementality tests (geo holdouts, conversion lift and brand lift studies, matched-market tests) to prove what the channel actually adds beyond search and social
Build the measurement framework for upper-funnel spend: view-through and click attribution, MMM inputs, and how video lifts brand search and direct traffic
Work with the Creative team on video built for each format (6-second bumpers, 15 to 30 second skippables, vertical Shorts, CTV spots), and turn test results into a clear creative brief
Set up tracking and audiences with the data team: Google Ads and GA4 conversions, GTM, first-party audiences, and DSP pixels
Report weekly on channel performance and test results, and present recommendations on scaling to leadership
What We’re Looking For:
4 to 6+ years in performance or growth marketing, with at least 3 years running YouTube and programmatic at scale (seven figures a month or more)
Has built or scaled a video or programmatic channel from scratch, not only optimized one that was already working
Hands-on experience with every YouTube format (TrueView, Shorts, bumpers, Demand Gen, Masthead)
Has selected, set up, and run at least one major DSP (DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP, or similar), including contracts, fees, and inventory quality
Has managed agencies or managed-service partners and knows how to audit their work, fees, and reporting
Strong grounding in incrementality and measurement: geo holdouts, conversion lift, brand lift, MMM, and the limits of view-through attribution
Has run video for direct-response goals (subscriptions, sign-ups, installs), not only brand awareness
Comfortable working directly with data: SQL or a BI tool, cohort metrics such as D0/D7 revenue, payback, and LTV
Comfortable operating independently as the first owner of a new channel, including coordinating with partners and platforms across time zones
Based in Bengaluru, or willing to relocate, and able to work from our office
Good to Have:
Hands-on CTV buying experience, through YouTube or DSP inventory
Experience at a SaaS, subscription, or consumer-tech company
Experience across markets (North America, Europe, Asia outside India)
A genuine willingness to adopt new AI tools and workflows, including AI-generated video, to move faster and keep improving performance
Benefits and Perks:
Daily Meals: Lunch and Dinner provided
Family Insurance: 5 Lakhs worth of coverage for you and your family
Unlimited Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to recharge and come back refreshed
Flexible Working Hours: Work arrangements that fit your life and commitments
Let’s build the future of software together.
