Grant & Proposal Writing Intern

The American Heart Association is hiring a Grant and Proposal Writing Intern in its Mission Advancement department. The intern will support fundraising by researching foundation prospects, developing donor strategies, and writing and customizing grant applications and proposals. Responsibilities Conduct external research on prospective foundation donors, using specific database tools and basic internet research, identifying priorities, application due dates, and application requirementsReach out to assigned foundations to inquire about opportunities, gain additional information about the requirements and deadlines for proposals, and identify next steps, documenting the information in the CRM (Customer Relationship Management database, Salesforce) and sharing it with the fundraising teamAttend planning meetings with seasoned fundraisers to develop strategy and cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for donors and prospectsUse resources and templates to write applications and cu
